Jump to Recipe

If you are looking for a kid friendly, easy breakfast that can be made ahead of time, this is it. Simply make this ahead on the weekend, and have breakfast to-go for the rest of the week!

These turnovers are filled with delicious soft peaches, and sweetened naturally with honey. It is then topped with a sweet honey glaze, that really makes it special.

The best part? They are so incredibly easy to make! And to make things easy, buy pre-made puff pastry! It is usually found in the freezer section next to frozen pie dough.

Here are some pictures to help you out:

Defrost your puff pastry on the counter (about 30 minutes). After unfolding your pastry give it a quick roll out to smooth out the fold marks.

Cut your pastry out into four large squares

Fill your squares with the fruit filling. Brush your square ends with egg wash (one egg mixed with a bit of water), then fold your turnovers to meet at each end and pinch it together.

Lastly brush some egg wash on top of your turnovers for a nice golden top. Bake at 400 F for 20 mins and you have yourself some peach turnovers! So easy, and so delicious.

Ingredients

  • Peach Turnover
  • 1 puff pastry sheet, de-frosted

  • 2 peaches, sliced

  • 1 tbs honey

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • Egg wash (1 egg, 2 tbs water)

  • Honey Glaze
  • 1/4 cup confectioners sugar

  • 1 tbs honey

  • 1 tbs milk

Directions

  • Peach Turnovers
  • Preheat oven to 400F
  • In a medium bowl mix your peaches, honey, and sugar together until combined. Set aside.
  • Defrost your puff pastry according to package directions. Unfold on a piece of parchment paper. Roll it out gently to smooth out the fold marks.
  • Cut your pastry sheet into four large squares. Fill each square with about 3 tbs of filling, just enough that you can still be able to fold over the pastry and have the ends meet.
  • Brush the edges of your square with egg wash. Then fold your square over to meet at each end and pinch it together, creating a triangle shape. If you want to get fancy you can use a fork to make indents.
  • Brush egg wash on top of your turnovers. Then place your turnover on a baking pan, lined with parchment paper. Bake at 400F for 20 minutes.
  • Honey Glaze
  • While pies are baking, make your glaze. Add your confectioners sugar to a bowl, and slowly add in your milk juice and honey until you get your desired consistency of glaze. The mixture should be able to drip off your spoon easily.
  • Assembly
  • After pies have cooled for 10 minutes, drizzle your glaze over top of your pies. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Store in an air tight container, can be stored on your countertop for up to 4 days. Or stored in the fridge for up to a week.
  • To freeze, store in an airtight freezer bag. Can be frozen for up to three months.
