Easy Banana Bread

This is the banana bread of ALL banana breads! Honestly, this is the first recipe I have ever baked, therefore I thought it would be the most perfect first recipe to post. I have been making this banana bread with my sweet grandma since I was a little girl. The absolute best part of this banana bread is you can just dump it all together, no need to mix separate dry and wet ingredients and then combine. My kind of baking! I make this at least once a week for my family to enjoy for breakfast, a snack, or even desert. I’m telling you, it is that good. So if you find you have some brown ripe bananas sitting on your counter, whip this up and you will not be disappointed.

Tip: To make your banana bread pop out easily, line your loaf pan with parchment paper. Then when it is done baking, you can easily just lift it out with your handy dandy parchment paper handles.


Easy Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup softened salted butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbs milk

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 2 cups all purpose flour (or gluten free flour)

  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325 F. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing and adding parchment paper.
  • Beat butter and both sugars together until light and fluffy. Then beat in eggs one by one to the mixture.
  • Add in your milk, cinnamon, baking soda and powder. Mix until combined.
  • On a plate mash your three bananas with a fork. Then add them into your mixture.
  • Stir in your flour until just combined. Lastly stir in your chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into your prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake in your preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. About 60-65 mins. Wait at least 10 mins before removing your loaf from the pan to slice. Enjoy!
